FAQs

When can I open my above ground pool?

Ultimately it is up to the pool owner when they want to open their swimming pool. However, we advise opening your pool earlier rather than later, when outside temperatures are consistently above 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you wait too long, the warmer temperatures will cause algae growths and it may be require additional chemicals to clean and balance the pool.

When should I close my above ground pool?

Pool owners commonly wonder when they should close their swimming pool for winter. A general rule of thumb is to wait till temperatures drop below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. This is when algae and microorganisms can't grow anymore.

Most pool owners however don't wait that long as they either don't use the pool anymore or want to avoid maintenance and running their pump. Therefore the time of pool closing is completely up to the customer.
