Store Manager

Family Pools North is looking for a full time, year round Store Manager who has experience in the retail environment and can oversee daily store operations. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in customer service, overseeing inventory, and supervising a team of employees. Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Duties include but are not limited to 

• Manage store day to day:

 a. Set up Employee work Schedules

 b. Reorder product for stock and Special orders (Can Delegate)

 c. Receive product into Evosus (Can delegate)

 d. Return Defective Product to Vendors

e. Troubleshooting system problems when they occur (Evosus, Credit card processing, phones, etc…)

• Assist Sales Associates and Water Lab testing when warranted
• Handle customer complaints as appropriate or hand off service complaints as warranted
• Hiring employees for store
• Help determine products for retail sale and stock quantities
• Ensure completion of Annual Inventory Count (Delegate actual count if possible)
• Complete Early Buys annually
• Assist in any system upgrades or changes, i.e. POS, phone system, etc…

Requirements

• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Must have previous management experience
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Sales Associate

Do you enjoy interacting with customers and helping them find what they need? Family Pools North is looking for an outgoing Sales Associate who is not afraid to engage customers and assist with daily store operations. The ideal candidate would have experience using retail POS software and have worked in a swimming pool retail store. 

Duties include but are not limited to 

• Operating POS retail program for cashing and processing credit card transactions
• Answering phone calls and assisting customers in locating merchandise
• Help loading customer vehicles 
• Processing payments and credit card transactions. Able to find products in the system
• Receiving shipments of product and put away in proper storage place
• Stocking shelves as necessary, take out trash, clean work area or store when not busy
• Becoming familiar with all store products

Other Job Expectations:

Learn about other aspects of the retail business to provide sales assistance in other areas such as (but not limited to) safety covers, parts, pumps, filters, novelties, and above ground pools. Learn to test water and provide customers with directions on chemical usage.

Job is seasonal at 30 – 40 hours per week. There may be an opportunity for some overtime.

Water Analyst

Do you enjoy interacting with customers and helping them solve their water problems? Family Pools North is looking for a Water Analyst who can perform water analysis using the LaMotte Spin Lab test instrument. The ideal candidate would have previous experience testing pool water, and providing customers with instructions on pool care.

Duties include but are not limited to 

• Perform tests such as salt and phosphate using test strips
• Interpreting test results and providing customers with recommendations on proper chemical additions based on test results and customer observations
•  Have an understanding of different pool chemistries (chlorine, bromine, etc…) and how to operate those systems
• Learn about all chemicals available at this store location.

Other Job Expectations:

Learn about other aspects of the retail business to provide sales assistance in other areas such as (but not limited to) pumps, filters, and novelties. Learn to use our POS

system to be able to back up the cashier position. Assist in receiving shipments of product and put them away in proper storage place. Assistant Pool Service Technician

Do you enjoy the outdoors? We are looking for an Assistant Pool Service Technician. The role includes working with a lead technician on a two-person crew to open and close above ground swimming pools as well as performing minor service work. No prior experience needed. 

Work schedule will be seasonal with busy (40+hrs/wk) and slower weeks (20-30 hrs/wk). The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, reliable and have a strong work ethic. Individual must be able to work well with others and interface with customers. Wages are negotiable and commensurate with experience. Opportunity to become a lead technician in one or two seasons. 

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead technician
• Open and close above ground pools
• Perform general pool maintenance
• Replace above ground pool liners
• Assist with minor pool repairs
• Work outdoors rain or shine

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Prior mechanical experience a plus but not required
• Must be able to start end of April, beginning of May
