Equipment Installation

Pump & Filter: Includes labor necessary to put together the pump and filter per the manufacturer’s instructions. Pump and filter are placed per the customer’s request. Additional items needed to complete the installation - such as longer hoses, adapters, etc. - are extra and may incur additional labor charges if it significantly increases the work.

Heaters: Installation includes leveling the ground and placing a patio block under the heater stand. Includes the labor necessary to plumb the heater into the return line of the customer’s pool using flexible PVC piping and fittings from the filter to the heater and back to the pool. The new plumbing will come with union fittings to allow the piping to be removed. Electrical and gas lines need to be addressed by a licensed third party.

Skimmers & Returns:  We can install new skimmers and/or returns on your old pool. This includes the removal of the old unit and installation of a new unit with new gaskets. For typical above ground pools (with easy access) this can be done without removing the water in the pool.

Pool Repairs

Most parts of your pool are easily repaired or replaced; such as pumps, filters, hoses, skimmers, and returns as covered in our other services. As your pool ages, you may notice rust around the skimmer, return, or other parts of the pool. We can replace rusted uprights, top rails, or the top track on your pool if the parts are still available from the manufacturer. If the bottom track is rotted, we will not work on the pool as replacing this is typically not worth the money.

For small amounts of rust around the skimmer or return, we can cut out the rust and rivet in a new piece of metal to hold the skimmer or return. We would have to lower the water level to around 1 - 2 feet (depending on the extent of the rust), then install a new plate inside the pool. If the rust extends to the bottom of the wall and the corrosion of the metal is severe, then we would deem the pool unsafe.

Pool Filter Cleaning

Over time cartridge and D.E. filters require some type of chemical cleaning to help keep them efficient. This process can extend the life of the filter. For most filters, we recommend doing this annually. Sometimes cartridge filters require this twice a year if the pool was especially dirty at startup.

We offer a professional in-store pool filter cleaning. All filters dropped off for a cleaning will also be inspected for possible problems, such as cuts or tears.

In Store Services

Most pool pump or motor repairs can be done if the owner can bring the pump to the store. If the motor no longer works we can replace the motor on your pump saving the cost of a new pump. The pump is very loud making a screeching noise. We can replace the bearings making the pump quiet again.

You may have a small leak which results in water under the pump (close to the motor). This is often due to a water seal leaking. If not repaired, it will cause water to get into the motor causing the bearing(s) to fail and possibly motor failure. There may be other gaskets on the pump that could leak, which require replacement.

In addition, we repair many inground pool cleaners such as the Hayward Tiger Shark, Dolphin cleaners, Polaris 280, 380, 360, and others. If your cleaner isn’t working, or not performing as well as it used to, bring it by and we’ll check it out.
