LINER INSTALLS & Leak Detection

We have changed hundreds of liners.

Pools and liners require care and proper installation in order to prevent damage. Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether or not you have a pool leak. Our team has repaired and installed hundreds of vinyl liners and is ready to take on yours.

Leak Detection & Repair

Please be advised that this service is currently only available during

July and August.

Depending on the size of the tear in the liner it might be easily patched and save you hundreds of dollars for a new one. If you suspect a leak we will come out and do a leak detection. Once we find the leak we will patch it.

We use specialized equipment to find the leaks in your pool. If the leak is in the liner then we apply a patch(es) to the damaged area(s). We often are able to match common patterns, so if you have a newer liner you may not even be able to see the patch.

If the leak is at the skimmer or return fitting, we can replace the gasket or entire unit as needed. Don’t worry about taking water out of your pool, our skilled technicians can replace either of these units on a full pool with minimal loss (For Most Above Ground Pools).

If you have a leaking hose or gasket we can fix this as well. We carry many common sizes for hoses and gaskets so we are often able to take care of the problem quickly. If it is a part we don’t carry, we can usually get it within a few days.

Liner Installs

Liner installs can be an intricate process that requires experience. If done improperly the liner itself can get damaged or worst case scenario the entire above ground pool can collapse. Our team has the expertise necessary.

Included in the service

  • Pool inspection and measurement prior to installation of liner
  • Removal and disposal of old liner and inspection of pool interior
  • Rake smooth the bottom of the pool and rebuild the cove per manufacturer’s specs*
  • Installation of new liner
  • Smooth out liner as water is added to the pool
  • Installation of skimmer and return

Customer is responsible for lowering water level to 3” or less prior to work (or we can do it for an additional charge). New skimmer and return required with liner installation to ensure that there aren’t any leaks. We prefer filling pool via a truck, but it can be filled by hose if preferred.*

*Additional charges may apply

  • materials needed to smooth out the bottom or build the cove
  • filling pool by hose as it requires us to stay till the water reaches a certain height

FAQs

My pool water is low. Does that mean I have a leak?

If your pool water is low it doesn't always mean you have a leak. There are two other causes for low water, one being evaporation and the other one being water displacement.

It is normal for pools to lose about a quarter of an inch of water every day. This is due to wind, humidity, and sunlight. To find out more info on water displacement please read our blog post "Low Water Level During Above Ground Pool Opening - Why and How to Prevent It?"

If you know for sure that neither one of these two scenarios are the cause for your low water issue, there is most likely a leak.

How do I know if it's worth it to install a new liner or get a new pool?

Depending on the age and condition of your pool we can help you determine if it's worth it to install a new liner. Above ground pools can last anywhere from 10 to 20 years if they have been well taken care off. Crestwood Pools can even last up to 30 years. Liners can last up to 10 years.

We will come out and inspect your pool wall prior to scheduling a new liner install. However, we won't know for certain until we pull the old liner back and see the inside of the pool wall. Sometimes if there is only a little rust or damage on the inside we can patch it with a new piece of steel wall.

If you are unsure about your liners and pool age, give us a call and we will schedule an inspection.
